Terms of Use
The rules and risk allocation for using the Cogito website and public beta app.
Last updated March 26, 2026
Scope
These Terms govern your use of the Cogito website, downloadable beta app, release notes, update feeds, and related materials made available at https://cogito.md. By accessing the site or downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
Beta Software
Cogito is currently offered as beta software. Beta software is pre-release software, may be incomplete, may contain bugs or security issues, and may crash, behave unexpectedly, corrupt files, or cause loss of data.
You should only use the beta with files and systems you have backed up, and you should not rely on the beta as the sole copy, sole editor, or sole storage location for important, business-critical, or irreplaceable data.
License And Acceptable Use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the beta for evaluation and ordinary use. You may not use the site or app in a way that is unlawful, abusive, interferes with others, attempts unauthorized access, or copies, redistributes, reverse engineers, or exploits the software except where applicable law does not allow that restriction.
Updates, Availability, And Changes
We may add, remove, suspend, or change features, downloads, release notes, update mechanisms, or access to the beta at any time, with or without notice. We are not obligated to continue the beta, publish future releases, or maintain compatibility with any current behavior.
Feedback
If you send feedback, suggestions, bug reports, or ideas, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation to you.
Third-Party Materials
The app and website may include or rely on third-party software, fonts, infrastructure, or links to third-party sites. Those materials and services may be governed by separate terms and policies.
No Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the site, beta app, downloads, release notes, and update feeds are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, security, accuracy, or reliability.
Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, use, files, or data, arising out of or related to the site, the beta app, or these Terms, even if we knew such damages were possible.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you assume the risk of installing and using beta software, including the risk of crashes, corruption, incompatibilities, and data loss. If a court determines that a direct liability remedy must still apply despite the other limits in these Terms, our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the site, app, or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, for the app during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the site or beta if you violate these Terms or if we decide to discontinue the beta. You may stop using the beta at any time.
Changes And Contact
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the revised version here with a new “Last updated” date. Questions about these Terms can be sent to hey@fabrizio.so.
